Thanks to an incredible opportunity from Foam Brewers - I have designed labels for 6 different fruited sour ales called “Block Print” that will be released over the next several months. Using the same three hand carved blocks I interpreted this custom pattern multiple different ways. Plus, I got to design some sweet merch!
If you live in Burlington you should definitely head down to the brewery for a swanky 6pk or fresh glass of Block Print.
Created for the love of design & pattern.
The Beenanza Backpack is the epitome of me. I love wearing backpacks and being hands free without the constant shoulder strap adjustment. All the backpacks styles I was drawn to were only available in a solid-colored canvas, possibly with a fun pattern on the inside... And that’s when I decided, I want to wear my patterns on the outside. Inspired by a Boy Scout backpack from the 60’s combined with my obsession with pattern and my love for the ancient Indian art of wood block printing; the Beenanza Backpack was born.
Having traveled to Jaipur, India to learn more about this craft, I gained a deep appreciation for this ancient art, and am now on a mission to promote this unique slow fashion movement in Vermont. This backpack was fully designed by yours truly in my little studio here in Burlington. I am collaborating with a block printing cooperative of artisans in Jaipur, India. They are wood block-printing my designs onto canvas and assembling the backpack - all by hand.
We did it!! Thank you so very much to everyone who came to the workshops, helped make it happen behind the scenes, and supported me whole-hearted along the way. This is only the beginning.
Designed the original logo & packaging line-up for the Brew House located in Rochester, NY. This system had to do two things 1) Play the role of being recognizable to the consumer as the Genesee they know and love 2) Be different enough that people who may have formerly written off the brand might take a second look at these new craft beers.
