Meet our inaugural fabric collection:

Designed in Vermont,
hand block-printed in Bagru, India.

A Studio Bagru artisan hand printing “Whispy Littles”

100% Organic cotton, hand block-printed in
Bagru, Rajasthan

I think block-printing has stuck with me all these years because it embodies how I think about my work - it can be both graphically structured and beautifully unexpected at the same time.

I have been partnering with Studio Bagru since Beenanza began in 2018. I even hosted my first ever workshops in Burlington with the founder of Studio Bagru, Jeremy Fritzhand. His partner in life & good taste, Nirmali Patar, now runs the studio.

Bagru is a town just outside of Jaipur with a 350 year history of hand-block printing fabric.

The Studio Bagru artisans "are masters of their craft, whether it be block carving, washing, printing, dying, or using dabu (resist) paste.” Many of which can be seen through our Drift & Bloom collection of fabric.

Robin quickly
became the fabric studio yin to my pattern design yang.

Sometimes you just need a buddy who loves fabric to make your dreams come true.

"STASH is a fabric store, a hub for the maker community and a place to learn. Robin has been building Stash with the mission of supporting creativity and craft with materials that inspire.

Clothes go beyond function, they are who we are, Robin believes that making one’s ownclothes is the greatest form of self expression. Meeting Bethany gave her the next great opportunity for Stash, making inspiring fabric for her community!"

  • " I was honored to make something from two of their prints, and I chose a modified Jane Dress. Both of these ladies have been a huge source of inspiration, generosity & support in my personal and creative life here in Burlington."

    —Abby Huston Olmstead, @abby_sews

  • "Drift & Bloom is printed on an organic cotton base and comes in two colorways and two designs, perfect for mixing and matching!"
